Syren's Voice Reader November 2012

Winter Recital is Around the Corner!

Students of Syren's Voice are getting ready for the Winter Recital on Sunday, December 16th. They have been working hard on their music and this one will be the best on yet! Voice, Guitar, and Ukulele students will shine their light for their friends and family in this private event.

Syren's Voice offers 3 recitals annually.
Winter and Spring recitals are private, while the Summer recital is open to the public. While performing in recitals is never mandatory, it is highly recommended as it is part of the music experience.

I am proud of my students for their hours of practice and drive to be the best that they can!
Bravo!

My Tour Schedule and Winter Break

Touring is important to my profession. I am a full time teacher, but also a full time musician.
I am always pushing the bar to become a better performer. This year I was so fortunate to tour in Ireland, Istanbul, and Irvine, CA. I am grateful to my students for being patient when I was away.
I learned and experienced so much while traveling in the real life performing world. I consider myself very fortunate to be on this path and hope that it may inspire some of my students to never doubt their talents and dreams.
In the summer of 2013, I hope to put together a workshop that will help
"Get this Show On the Road"! The workshop will deal with touring, performing, and generating a fan base. Details will be announced in spring.
My last tour of 2012 will take place during the winter break. Tulsa to Olympia! On the road by car with my bass playing husband and his guitar playing father! Should be quite the trip!
Winter Break
No lessons December 21 - January 6th
Makeup lessons will take place Saturday December 8th and January 12th.
Lessons resume Monday January 7th.
What's next? Ireland 2013! I have been invited back and this will likely be a week in the spring. I will, as always, make it as convenient for school schedules as possible. Also, starting in January, I will be working on a new CD of original music with my band SeaStar. This has prompted me to conduct a Songwriting Basics Workshop in February. Details to tba.
Wow! That's a plateful! So excited! So proud of my students! Thank you for inspiring me!
Wishing you a safe, healthy, and prosperous holiday season! Enjoy! and Sing out!!

My warm up CD is in the process of being finished. It will be for sale come January. I am very excited about this release! Many students have asked for this for some time. I am happy with the sound of it so far! The price will be $10 With travels and such, the funds for duplication have been limited. I will make a short run for Christmas.
